Blog 3

This blog is supposed to be my own definition of rhetoric, let’s see how I do. So basically, I thought that rhetoric was a piece of straight forward literature, like speeches. I believe that poetry does not count for rhetoric; I have this poor connotation of poetry being whimsical. While rhetoric makes me think of strict, very straight forward prose. In the tiny textbook, its shows rhetoric in a triangle; the triangle connects the audience with the speaker and with the subject. Rhetoric also has a lot to do with connections. Connection with people, places, and events, most importantly the events, places, and people right there at that moment. The Bible must count as rhetoric because it is hard to connect with the Bible, unless you know the context in which these texts were written.
